Sonya's career started with Virgin Records, where she worked alongside Platinum Producers' Soulshock and Karlin who have produced three 3 R&B singles: Monica's-Before You Walk Out My Life, Whitney Houston's-Heartbreak Hotel, Fantasia's-Truth Is and 1 Pop single: JoJo-Leave (Get Out). Other projects have included Mary J. Blige, Destiny's Child, Usher, Brandy, Tupac Shakur, and Pussycat Dolls.
